Starting a new life-- Trauma of uncertainity

This 16th I met my life partner and now we are going to get engaged on 20th of September 2009... Its really nice feeling after thinking about future and a partner who is going to share whole life with you... But its not that easy... we have to change our whole lifestyle, to accommodate each other... It may be about career, life or expectations from each other....
Just want your best wishes.....

A Pointless Column -But strangely a true one..

It was a busy street .... He was in hurry... he was anxious and he wanted to reach to his laptop in minutes.... and in between he forgot he was on mid of road.... A truck ran over him.... He died instantly.... Few moments ago everything was rash... and in moments, everything stopped.... It was a peace... silence... He was in lap of mother nature... He was everywhere ... he can see through everything... in time... far from walls .. mountains... planets..... stars... universe... He was asking himself...why he was feeling, that time is running short????? Actually everything was still... and nothing is moving... but he was feeling short of time always... why he was not able to know the truth... he was watching and always known the truth... that nothing is moving.... so .... whats this???
A truth is always still... Like time is not moving, we are going through time... Einstein always worried about discoveries.... He hardly invented anything.... Because he known the truth, long ago.... His brain was removed... after his death.. but his ideas can not be fetched and can ever be stored in a glass jar.
Why I am writing this??? pointless ... huh... no one is going to believe.. till he is not ran over by a truck, not being died of some disease or some other happenings.... I don't want to say that we should stop rushing... but what I want, is that we should recognize that nothing is going to be gained, if we rush to much... is n't it...
So take a deep breath and think again about everything again...

Snake and my encounter today

A few minutes ago after taking bath I was coming out of bathroom and Its 10:55 in night already... my bath room is not inbuilt.... so I was outside my house.... I just saw dark thread and I open the light switch and thought that it is just a water mark, which I usually see around bathroom in daytime.... But suddenly my feets got jammed up... since that shadow had moved... I got stunned, since I was on door and it was in front of me... just a feet far from me..... I silently got still... and watched if snake was in mood of anger ,fear ... then I slightly moved back , since I was trapped in bathroom... I saw the water Mug and thrown water on the snake... it may feel rubbish, but it was effective... It goes vanished away .... but I came back with torch and confirmed that it ran away....
for precaution I checked my feet that if there was no snake bite since i came carelessly.. so who knows??? I was feeling sensation... I sent SMS to my land lord and other tenants about this and told them to be careful....
But one thing was surprising that ,i didn't felt the fear... It was sensational moment...I worked wisely...
I came back and prayed in front of Sai Baba and Gajanan Mahraj and said them thanks to taking care of mine... But one thing is sensational that I never see carefully such shadows as I did today... and it was life saver for me.... because when I opened internet and searched the Google it was alike "poisonous Krait snake" ....

Truck Drivers and their life - A day with them in queue!!!

It was hot and humid day...sun was firing the heat bullets... and we were sweating a lot!!!
This was second time I was in queue at Baddi Barrier with my manager for shipment registration,
My manager was excited to see that we will get rid of formalities very soon.... But he was new comer here :) since I told him that it will take more than 2 hour here... but he was looking ethusiastic ... I let him to do the work of his own.. and soon he was back and given an intense look to me... and told... "khaday ho jao line mein!!!!"
I was already in queue.. and manager was bit o relaxed and he told me that he will stand in queue.... In between, I may tell you about other queue members at that time.... all were truck drivers... you may get the impression from their faces, how tired they are!!!! but the good thing about them... is that all truck drivers have good sense of humor.. they all were passing their time by cracking jokes... and I also was enjoying.... one of truck driver have strange outlook... his one eye was damaged completely... and he was most funny with his talks..
But suddenly something happened , environment was suddenly got heated... I was looking for the reason... all queue members started shouting loudly... since few other guys entered the queue without getting in queue... and this was not amusing and accepted by other guys.... they were almost ready to beat them....
Somehow those "intruders" were pushed by the mob... :) My manager was really in stress... that what was going on... It took about 3 hours for, our form processing.... and it wasn't finished... we had some problems in form processing so after 30 minutes we were out from that place....
My manager was looking relaxed.. he told he was not expecting this thing ....
anyways as we were moving other queue members were waving hands in air.... and I was doing the same... what I got that day... few more friends... Most of us ... usually think that it is easy to have truck driver, and others see them with bad perspective... but I have respect for them.... they are true hardworking guys.. they drive 24 hours and after that they need to stand in the long queues at barriers... but they never loose their sense of humor.... amazing!!!!
I think we can learn a lot from them.. at both professional level and personal level.. how to maintain the enthusiasm after all stressful work.....

Those 4 days of 6th Sense!!!

After 2001 this is first time I was feeling so much restless... Before going ahead I want to say what happened in 2001...
In December 2000, I fell ill and was suffering with typhoid, I was on medicines, but not of typhoid, but of Malaria!!! No doctor was able to diagnose, what happened to me.. (though I was complaining about chest pain...).
After few days I was suffering from 102 degree fever 24X7... I was in pain but no one was listening to me... my body weight reduced to 47 from 58 in 20 days...
But during that time I was sleeping a lot... and somehow I was feeling quite rash feelings, like I was looking lots of dead bodies... Unconsciously,I started saying to my parents... Its earthquake, which is awaiting somewhere... but near to me... they all was taking it easy, by saying its all your imagination... with time feeling became so strong that I was feeling pity for those, unseen dead's...
Everyone was shocked when they heard about Gujarat earthquake on 26th Jan 2001... I was looking at TV and repetitively saying..."Dekho mainay kaha thaa Naa"..
I realized that I had something special, but not clear ability...
In 2003 I predicted about some mishap a few hours before my Maternal Uncles death due to cancer.... I told my sister about 11:00 O'clock night.. that some one is going to be dead.... They again taken it easy.... but when they heard news in morning at about 9:00 O'clock about my Maternal Uncle's demise... They were in shock and were looking me like I am an alien!!!!
Now It happened to me in last few days again... From 27May 2009, I was not able to sleep... I was feeling like awake, even in night, like somebody want to communicate to me, but I was not able to listen...
It started with a series of dreams.... like I have seen a friend calling a Radio DJ, and I am saying that he is my friend to all other guys....This friend was not in contact for long time... and he SMS'd me on next day morning....
I got the point, but was not clear again... next night I had seen a dream of extreme fire.... and smoke... but nothing happened next day.... I had seen same dream, but this time seen some guys running and trying to save them from fire....

And this time it happened!!! next morning on 2nd June 2009 when I got up ,Papa called me and asked about a firemishap... very near to my house, I was unaware of this, Papa heared this from our servent, His close relative died in this mishappening, He was in firefighting sqad, about 9 other people were killed and 17 more are still missing....

and now everything around me is fine, but I also came to know that on 1st June when I had seen first dream of fire and smoke... a french plane was lost in sea.... I think my first dream was pointing to French plane mishap....

I am still not able to interpret all these signs.... but I hope I can interpret these some day... so that I can warn, before it can actually takes place!!!!!

The Importance of Maintaining Healthy Social Connections : My World, My Room

As a working professional, it's been a while since I've caught up with my friends. Some have moved on because of career or life decisions, while others just didn't want to deal with me anymore. And you know what? I don't really care. "Jo gaya so gaya..." as they say. But the other day, when I got home, I couldn't help but ask myself, "Sandeep, who are your friends these days?" And to be honest, I was pretty annoyed with myself for not having any concrete answers. I scanned my phone contacts and realized that most of my friends either changed their numbers or were simply unreachable. It was then that I came to a realization - I didn't really want anyone else in my life. I was content being alone and finding peace in it. My best friends these days are my PC, TV, and remote. I spend most of my time with them and it's been a while since I've interacted with any of my neighbors or made new friends. But I'm okay with that. I've realized that these days, my world is my room and my friends are my electronics. At least they're always there when I need them, right? But as silly as it may sound, I know that my "friends" can't replace the value of real human connection. Sure, my electronics can provide temporary entertainment, but they can't offer the deep sense of support and understanding that comes from having actual conversations and interactions with people. In writing this, I've come to recognize the negative impacts of isolation and the importance of maintaining healthy social connections. Even if it may seem daunting to reach out to old friends or make new ones, it's worth the effort. Studies have shown that strong social ties can lead to better mental health, happiness, and even longevity. So, I'm making a conscious effort to prioritize my social connections. Whether it's attending community events or reaching out to old friends and family, I know that investing in human interaction can significantly improve my overall well-being. And who knows, maybe I'll make a new friend or two along the way.

My New Sketch

Just finished coloring my new sketch ..off course my own face.... please tell how is the sketch ..

Elections are over and I am happy for India

Lastly elections are over and everything will become normal soon, I am diehard supporter of BJP... Its sad that they loose the election.. but I am happy that India will have stable Govt ... it should not be dependent on the mercy of Left parties... I Think UPA or NDA ,there should be one in power ... People are now got sick of the elections and now they just want to live peacefully...
Many people blame BJP being a community based party... which is true... but which community? its not Hindu not Muslims but they are living "Hindutva"... Hindutva means one Country... this perspective is inherited from RSS ... one of biggest volunteer organizations of Hindus... One country means united country... In Hindi called as "EK RASTRA"...
I think more than Hinduism ,today's biggest threat is misuse of "Gandhi word"... Today Gandhi name is not lived but it is sold by Congress. One should overcome this poisonous thing , its better for our nation.... British have ruled us for more than 200 years.. but Gandhi name is ruling India after independence... Congress is selling it and peoples are taking it with some political words like ---> "Desh kee Bahu" or "Yuvraaj"... Its media which is giving importance to such words... and parties are tossing their coins on these words... I am really annoyed on these words....I hate these words...

But without getting biased I just want to say ,its good for India that it have a stable Govt , rather than a handicapped Govt... It will generate faith in businessmen and other countries and it is good for the indian economy also...
Finally India shining should be aim of every countrymen , honestly and it should not be "Politician Shining"...

Its good for our Jobs and also for Republic of India..

A Reunion with My Roots: A Journey to My Village in the Heart of Himachal Pradesh

After a long hiatus, I embarked on a journey back to my village in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh. This trip turned out to be a fantastic reunion filled with warmth, adventure, and a deep connection to my roots.

The Journey Begins
Eager to escape the city, I left the office early and started my journey to Hamirpur. Little did I know, the travel would not be as smooth as I had anticipated. Just 10 km from Nalagarh, our bus experienced a technical issue, leaving the passengers in a state of panic. Fortunately, HRTC bus services sent us a new bus in just 10 minutes, and we were back on the road.

Unforgettable Encounters
Despite the hot weather and dust clouds, I was in good spirits, sharing my seat with two lovely teenage girls. The journey took me through Una, where I switched buses and spent hours chatting with the driver, learning about his family and life as a driver in the region. The conversation made the long journey to Hamirpur fly by.

A Slice of Village Life
Arriving at my village, Sandhol, nestled near the Byas River and surrounded by the stunning Dhauladhar mountain range, I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of my homeland. In this remote paradise, locals rely on farming, with many families serving in the army or other defense forces. The village is known for its delicious mangoes and diverse wildlife, including the revered but dangerous Himalayan leopard.

A Glimpse of Wildlife and Local Flora
Sandhol's landscape is home to various wildlife, including peacocks, hogs, wild rabbits, wild cocks, and numerous bird species. Among the main attractions is the Himalayan leopard, a dangerous yet respected animal among villagers. As human settlements expand, food for leopards and bears is dwindling, resulting in occasional attacks on humans.

Uncovering Local Treasures
On my way to Sandhol, I stopped at Sujanpur, famous for its ancient fort, Raja Sansarchand Fort, and the revered Nardeshwar Temple. The village boasts numerous natural water sources called "Boudee" or "Khatri," still used by locals for drinking and household purposes.

A Heartwarming Welcome and Birthday Celebrations
Upon reaching my village, I was greeted by relatives and friends who had gathered to welcome me home. The next day, my birthday, was filled with prayers, a traditional "Hawan" ceremony, and a "Preeti-Bhoj" - a food party where guests sit on the ground and enjoy a meal prepared by Brahmin cooks, served on leaf plates.

Exploring the Village and Nalwari Mela
With my brother-in-law, I ventured out to explore the village and its surroundings. We visited ancient water resources and a nearby village situated along the Byas River. We also attended the 300-year-old Nalwari Mela, a tri-day fair where farmers from remote areas gather to sell their livestock, primarily oxen and cows.

Embracing Village Life
As I settled into village life, I enjoyed reconnecting with my cousins and other relatives. I took the opportunity to explore the area, learning about its history and the challenges faced by locals during the rainy season when poor roads and violent water flows would cut off the village from the outside world. Thankfully, improved infrastructure now keeps the village connected year-round.

As my trip came to an end, I bid farewell to my village and cherished the memories of my visit. The journey was a rejuvenating experience that allowed me to reconnect with my roots and appreciate the simple joys of life in a close-knit community, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.

As I traveled back to Hamirpur and eventually returned to the city, I couldn't help but feel a longing to return to my village in the near future. For me, my village is not just a slice of heaven in the hills; it is heaven itself. It encapsulates everything that makes Himachal Pradesh so enchanting: snow-capped mountains, diverse flora and fauna, and a rich cultural heritage that includes fascinating traditions, festivals, and fairs.

This travelogue is a testament to the unforgettable journey I experienced, and I eagerly anticipate the day when I can return to my village and embrace the warm embrace of my homeland once more.

Until then, I'll hold on to these memories and cherish the time spent in my village, reminiscing about the beauty and tranquility that is uniquely Sandhol.

Break Up Recovery - How to Get her Out of Your Head After You Got Ditched

This is quite a tough process, if your love is deep-rooted and strong. On the other hand it might be a cakewalk if your love means nothing but a time-pass for you. If your case is the former one, these are some really useful tips that can help you a great deal to recover:

Stop all forms of communication after the break up:

If your lover was true and sincere, this step should be taken after your attempts to put things back again. After correcting your mistakes or asking your partner to correct his/hers, give your partner a time span. I recommend you not to make it too long. The longer you hope and expect, the higher your sufferings will be. Once all the attempts that you can feasibly do has been done, simply stop - No phone calls, no emails, no birthday cards, nothing.

Never try to chase her/him. Never force people back into your life. You wouldnt want them to point their fingers at you and ask why did you force me back into this hell? some time in the future. Would you? Let them go if they want to. As I already said, weaker pillars might fall apart. They are in plenty in this world. You are not at all the loser. Stronger pillars may be rare. But they are definitely on the way to you. Open up your heart for them.

Stop waiting infinitely:

You can give the person some time to come back. But this should never happen to ruin your life or your mental and physical well being. Infinite waiting will! Every moment you expect the person back, he/she might be out there enjoying their lives with someone new. They may be busy planning for their great accomplishments in life. Your ex might have already got over with you and moved forward in their life, seeking new joys and horizons. Set a time limit and let go.

Experienced hands say that lost loves and buses are alike. If you missed one, another is definitely on the way. Never desperately run after the one you just missed, however valuable it seems. If they simply walked away erasing all the memories they had about you, it means they can do it at any point in their lives. You might have been a small piece in their whole jigsaw puzzle like life. You want to spend a life time with such a kind of person? You want your life to be a puzzle? If he/she could forget you, it is mandatory that you should do the same

Keep his/her belongings away:

There may be tons of gifts and letters that he/she might have given you. If you are highly inclined to keep looking back at them now, you are not likely going to forget any memories. If that is the case, simply put them on fire. But if you are quite strong, I would advice you to keep all those belongings with you. But never go back to them until some time pass by. After a while, have a look at those rubbles of your temple of love. All these thoughts that hurt you now are going to be strange but sweet memories when you move forward in your life.

Several times have I read through my whole collection of love SMS's my ex wrote for me and smiled thinking how stupid I was once for having believed all those intoxicating sentences. I assure you - it doesnt hurt. It simply gives a different sort of feeling. May be a feeling of pride for having learned so much and come so far.

Avoid all chances of meeting your ex:

Avoid places you two used to frequent and restaurants where you used to hang out. Avoid any occasion in which there is a chance for you to bump into your ex. Keeping away from seeing can help a lot in getting the memories out of your head.

Stop reading between the lines:

The moment your ex leaves you, your mind starts framing a thousand probabilities and possibilities, which would mostly be nothing but your own illusions. Dont let your mind find false-hope in something your ex does. If your ex has sadistic attitudes he/she might even try to hurt you by attracting and provoking you after the break up. Please dont interpret these as her willingness to return or as reasons for some hope.

mysql optimization

-:MYSQL OPTIMIZATION:-

First Way:-

1) query_cache_type: Specifies the operating mode of the query cache.
Three possible values can be assigned to this variable: 0, 1, and 2.

Finding info about Query_cache_type

show variables like “query_cache_type”;

Setting Size of Query_cache_type

set GLOBAL query_cache_type=0;// off
set GLOBAL query_cache_type=1;// on
set GLOBAL query_cache_type=2;// no Sql cache

2) query_cache_limit: Specifies the maximum size that a result set can be in order to be cached. For example, if the limit is set to 2M, no result set larger than 2MB will be cached. The default limit is 1MB.

Finding info about Query_cache_limit

show variables like “query_cache_limit”;

Setting Size of Query_cache_limit

set GLOBAL query_cache_limit=1000000;// 10MB set

3) query_cache_size: Specifies the amount of memory allocated for caching queries. By default, this variable is set to 0, which means that query caching is turned off. To implement query caching, you should specify a query_cache_size setting in the [mysqld] section of your option file. For example, the setting query_cache_size=10M enables query caching and allocates 10M of memory to the cache.

Finding info about Query_cache_size

show variables like “query_cache_size”;

Setting Size of Query_cache_size

set GLOBAL query_cache_size=1000000;// 10MB set

Second Way:-

1) use a text editor such as Vim or Notepad to modify your option file to include a setting for the query_cache_size system variable. For Linux users, add a query_cache_size entry to the [mysqld] section of the my.cnf file in the root directory.

query_cache_size=10M

2) For the changes in the option file to take effect, you must shut down the MySQL server. In Linux, execute the following command at your operating system’s command prompt:

mysqladmin -u root -p shutdown

When prompted for a password, enter your password and press Enter. The service is stopped.

3) Now you must restart the MySQL server. In Linux, execute the following command at your operating system’s command prompt:

mysqld_safe --user=mysql &

4). Open the mysql client utility.

5). Now view the settings for the query_cache_size system variable again and you are ready to go with new settings.

How It Works

All the steps that you took in this exercise should be familiar to you from previous chapters. To begin, you used the SHOW VARIABLES statement to view the default settings for each system variable related to the query cache. For example, the following SHOW VARIABLES statement retrieved the current setting for the query_cache_limit system variable:

SHOW VARIABLES LIKE ‘query_cache_type’;

The results indicated that the query cache is on. When you viewed the setting for the query_cache_limit variable, you saw that each results set can be 1048576, or 1M. Next you viewed the query_cache_size variable, which was set to 0. This meant that no SELECT statement result sets were being cached.

Once you verified the settings for all three system variables, you added or updated the following setting in the [mysqld] section of your option file:

query_cache_size=10M

This entry sets the query cache size to 10M. You implemented the new setting by stopping the server and then restarting it. From there, you opened the MySQL client utility and used the SHOW VARIABLES statement once more to verify the query_cache_size system setting. The results indicated that the new setting had been implemented. Now your SELECT statements will be cached, which should improve the performance of your SELECT statements. You could have also specified different settings
for the query_cache_type and query_cache_limit system variables in your option file, but it wasn’t necessary. Because you didn’t, the default values for both variables are used.

Remote desktop on linux using VNC

Introduction

As an Windows administrator, I always have to work with many Windows servers. Most of the time, I use remote access rather than go to in front of each server. This can be done easily because they’re the same platform. But sometime I also need to access Linux server from Windows XP, too. This can be done by using VNC. By default, VNC is alrealy installed on Redhat so I only need to configure it as VNC server and I have to install VNC Viewer on Windows XP. When enable this service, please keep in my that others can also remote to the server with this protocol, too!. So if your network can’t be trusted, do not enable the vncserver service. But in my case, I have firewall to limit only from my computer and the network is trusted.

VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing. It is remote support software which allows you to view and fully interact with one computer desktop (the “VNC server”) using a simple program (the “VNC viewer”) on another computer desktop anywhere on the Internet. The two computers don’t even have to be the same type, so for example you can use VNC to view a Windows Vista desktop at the office on a Linux or Mac computer at home. For ultimate simplicity, there is even a Java viewer, so that any desktop can be controlled remotely from within a browser without having to install software.

Step-by-step

In this section, I’ll show how to configure VNC server on Redhat server and using VNC Viewer connect the server remotely from Windows XP.

  1. On Redhat server, login with your username that you want to enable remote access. In this example, I will use ‘admin’ user.
    Redhat Gnome's desktop
  2. Open Terminal, type ‘vncpasswd’. Type your password and verify password again. This command will use to set you password for remote access for the current user.
    Set VNC password
  3. Before next step, you need to logged on as root by type ’su root’.
    Log as root using su
  4. Edit the file /etc/sysconfig/vncservers by type ‘ vi /etc/sysconfig/vncservers’.
Note: If you are new to Linux, vi is an editor tool in command line mode on Linux.
    Edit /etc/sysconfig/vncservers
  5. You’ll see text file as in the figure below. Next, I’ll edit on the highlight line.
    /etc/sysconfig/vncservers
  6. Uncomment on the highlight line. If you have more than one usernames that want to enable remote acces, you can change VNCSERVERS value in this format, “1:username1 2:username2 3:username3 ….”. In this example, I have only one user which is root so this line of mine is ‘VNCSERVERS = “1:admin”‘.
    Edit /etc/sysconfig/vncservers
  7. Now save the file and exit. To save file, hold ESC + ‘:’ and type ‘wq’ to write and quit file.
Write and quit file in vi editor
  8. Next, log off the user if you are not user ‘root’ and log in as root. Enable VNC service by type ‘chkconfig vncserver on’. Then, start the VNC service by type ’service vncserver start’.
Set up VNC server as service and start
  9. If you have firewall enable on Redhat, be sure that your firewall configuration won’t block connection from remote computer by open port TCP 5901 for remote access. Open Applications -> System Settings -> Security Level. Add ‘5901:tcp’ on Other ports.
Note: VNC uses TCP protocol on port 5901.
Open TCP port 5901 for remote access
  10. Now you can connect Redhat server from remote computer. On my Windows XP computer, open VNC Viewer on Windows XP, type IP Address of Redhat server with number as a username specify in step 6. In this example, I want to remote to Redhat server as ‘admin’ user which I assign as number 1 in step 6 (1:admin) and my Redhat server is 10.110.141.220. So I type ‘10.110.141.220:1′.
Note: You can download VNC Viewer for free at realvnc.com
Test connect to Redhat server from remote computer
  11. Type your password for ‘admin’ user which has been assign in step 2.
    Specify password
  12. Now you have connect to Redhat server remotely. But you’ll see that the interface looks different. You have to do a little thing more.
    Remote screen
  13. On Redhat server, open terminal and type ‘vi /home/username/.vnc/xstartup’. In this example, I type ‘vi /home/admin/.vnc/xstartup’.
Note: If you going to enable remote access for user ‘root’, the file would be at ‘/root/.vnc/xstartup’.
    Edit /home/admin/.vnc/xstartup
  14. Uncomment these two lines and save the file.
Note: If you want to force to load Gnome or KDE Desktop on remote access, edit the last line from ‘twm &’ to ’startx &’ for Gnome and ’startkde &’ for KDE Desktop.
    Edit xstartup
  15. Type ’service vncserver restart’ to apply changes.
    Restart VNCServer service
  16. Reconnect using VNC viewer on remote computer again. Now you will see the desktop as you were log in at the server but now you’re remotely :).
    Connect to Redhat server remotely
